Impressive Heat Embossing Class by Altenew Academy

The week before my big breast cancer surgery I took a Heat Embossing Class, partly because I wanted to learn some new techniques and also to keep me busy while I was going crazy waiting for the surgery.

I love how Heat Embossing adds beautiful texture to projects! Here I did some watercoloring with Gelatos after White Heat embossing the background. Then I die cut the the word thanks four or five times and clued them together after coloring the top layer with a little darker shade of Gelatos. All other supplies are from Altenew.

Here I white embossed again first, with the large image from the same Blooming Bouquet Altenew stamp I used above. Then color blended 3 inks over that. I also blended 2 of the inks on separate paper to make my die cut sentiment, cut those out and clued them together with one peeking out a little behind the other. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh Droplets.

This was the first card of the class. I Heat embossed the outline images from the Altenew Dahlia Stamp, then watercolored them in (we were suppose to use a technique we weren't quite comfortable you can see I need some practice 😉). Then my favorite new technique is to sprinkle water and apply embossing powder and heat......I just love those splattered embossed areas for a background or finishing touch!

Thank you for visiting my artistic side! Hope you liked my creations and next I will share the rest of my cards from the embossing class.
